CURCI SONGS INCLUDED IN WEST END MUSICAL

Today marks the opening night of new West End musical The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, starring Lesley Sharp, Marc Warren and up-and-coming starlet Diana Vickers, who recently attracted national attention with her performances on ITV’s The X Factor.
Amongst the classic songs that Vickers will be performing are You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me YOU DON'T HAVE TO SAY YOU LOVE ME by GIUSEPPE DONAGGIO,VITO PALLAVICINI,SIMON NAPIER-BELL,VICKI WICKHAM| and This Is My Life THIS IS MY LIFE by NORMAN NEWELL,ANTONIO AMURRI,BRUNO CANFORA|, which are represented in the UK by the Kassner group through its sub-publishing deal with Italian publisher Edizioni Curci|.
A black musical comedy, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice is adapted from the 1998 film of the same name which starred Michael Caine and Jane Horrocks and tells the story of a young girl who finds refuge from her overbearing mother in her dead father’s record collection. When her mother’s boyfriend discovers that the girl nurtures an undiscovered talent to replicate the singing talents of the divas she so loves to hear, he pushes her towards unwanted stardom with unfortunate consequences.
The Rise and Fall of Little Voice premieres tonight at the Vaudeville Theatre and is scheduled to run there until Spring 2010.
