KASSNER GROUP SIGNS EXCLUSIVE SONGWRITING AGREEMENT WITH CHRIS TURPIN

The Kassner Group is pleased to announce its most recent signing, Chris Turpin|.
Turpin’s music first came to the attention of the Kassner team when his song Heaven Never Seemed So Close HEAVEN NEVER SEEMED SO CLOSE by CHRISTOPHER TURPIN|, performed by his band Kill it Kid|, was played on Steve Lamacq’s Roundtable on BBC 6 Music. The round table discussion about the song saw it awarded 10/10, 9/10 and 8/10 and was voted by listeners as most popular track, beating Biffy Clyro, Groove Armada and The Big Pink amongst others. This positive reaction was shared by the Kassner team and a meeting with Turpin and his manager David Pears of Wing Management| was arranged within a matter of days, with the publishing deal signed soon after.
The Kassner Group’s MD David Kassner commented: “We are proud to add a writer of Chris’ calibre to our roster. His writing already displays a maturity that belies his years and we are extremely excited by his potential as a composer. In particular, we have been impressed by Chris’ commitment to developing his skill and we are already exploring co-writing opportunities for him.”
The album Kill It Kid was released on 5 October on One Little Indian Records|.
