KASSNER EXTENDS GLOBAL PRESENCE

Kassner Music is pleased to announce that it has signed deals with local Sony/ATV Music Publishing affiliates in Greece and Russia to represent its repertoire.
The agreements, which will have retrospective effect from 1st July 2009, bring two territories that have become expanding markets for international music under the existing Kassner-Sony/ATV association, which already includes sub-publishing representation in Scandinavia, Poland and South-East Asia as well as the administration of Kassner’s American companies under the Broadway Music Corporation banner.
Having furthered the global coverage of his company’s catalogue, MD David Kassner commented: “A key contributing factor to our longevity has been to recognise the opportunity presented by new markets and as such we are pleased to have secured our presence in territories of increasing importance. We had no hesitation in choosing Sony/ATV as our partner in these territories as throughout our relationship with them they have handled our copyrights with care and demonstrated their commitment to maximising their value on our behalf.”
Guy Henderson, Sony/ATV’s International Senior Vice-President, was similarly effusive about the deal: “Sony/ATV is thrilled to have extended its representation of the Kassner catalogue to include Greece and Russia. Both these territories have performed well for Sony in recent years and the quality of the Kassner copyrights should continue to accelerate this progress. On a personal note, we are pleased to be able to continue and build on our very good relationship with David, Veronique and all the Kassner company staff.”
