KILL IT KID IN FINAL 10 FOR XFM NEW MUSIC AWARD 2010

Kill It Kid|’s eponymous debut was today announced as one of the releases in the running for Xfm’s coveted award of Best British Debut Album of 2009.

Propelled by the songwriting talent of Kassner Music Group signing Chris Turpin|, the unique sound of tracks such as Heaven Never Seemed So Close HEAVEN NEVER SEEMED SO CLOSE by CHRISTOPHER TURPIN|, Send Me An Angel Down SEND ME AN ANGEL DOWN by CHRISTOPHER TURPIN| and Fool for Loving Me FOOL FOR LOVING ME by CHRISTOPHER TURPIN,STEPHANIE WARD| inspired the public to vote the album in to a final 10 that also contains the recordings of acts such as Florence and the Machine, La Roux, Mumford & Sons and The xx.

The shortlist will now be presented to a highly respected panel of judges that includes Carl Barat (Dirty Pretty Things/The Libertines), Tim Burgess (The Charlatans), Peter Hook (New Order/Joy Division) and Tom Smith (The Editors) and the winner will be announced on 2 February.
