KILL IT KID MAKE ALBUM RETURN WITH “FEET FALL HEAVY”

Two years after their first album| was brought out to an avalanche of critical acclaim, Kill It Kid have released their much-anticipated follow-up Feet Fall Heavy|.
Produced by Leo Abrahams| (Florence and the Machine, Brian Eno, Grace Jones) and recorded in just 10 days to help capture the immediacy and ferocity of Kill It Kid’s live performances, Feet Fall Heavy is an altogether darker and harder experience than the band’s debut. As with all Kill It Kid releases, the album is most distinct for the vocal contributions of Chris Turpin and Stephanie Ward, as both artists alternate between soft, coaxing tones and powerful, aggressive howls. Gone, however, are the strings and softer folk aspects of Kill It Kid in favour of crunching riffs and gritty blues, interspersed throughout with samples of Alan Lomax field recordings in appreciation of the Deep South blues and gospel traditions which have inspired the band’s music.
From the seductive opening Ward showcase You’re In My Blood YOU'RE IN MY BLOOD by CHRISTOPHER TURPIN| to the Turpin-led conclusion of title track Let My Feet Fall Heavy LET MY FEET FALL HEAVY by CHRISTOPHER TURPIN|, the album is a thrilling aural experience which will leave fan and newcomer alike gasping for more.
Feet Fall Heavy is released by One Little Indian| and is available today at hmvdigital.com| and other selected record shops.
